Care Instructions

As with all jewellery made from precious metals, Aurelium jewellery is delicate and should be handled with care. Below are some tips for looking after your handcrafted jewellery so it can last a lifetime.

  • Avoid contact with moisturiser, makeup, perfume, hairspray, household chemicals, and chlorine from spas and swimming pools.
  • Do not wear when exercising, swimming, cleaning, showering and sleeping.
  • After wearing your jewellery, rub it with a soft cloth. Store jewellery separately in small ziplock bags (complimentary with all purchases) to prevent tarnish and scratches.

Gold-plated jewellery:

Gold-plating naturally wears off over time, especially on rings and necklaces that experience more contact and friction with the body. To enjoy the beautiful lustre on your gold-plated pieces for longer, please take particular care to follow the tips above. These pieces are best suited to occasional wear rather than everyday wear.

Sterling silver jewellery:

It is inevitable that sterling silver will tarnish over time when exposed to the sulphur and acids found in our environment. To remove tarnish on sterling silver, use a polishing cloth specifically designed for silver (complimentary with all silver jewellery purchases).
